This is probably a no-brainer, but it bears talking about. While you don’t want to be right up under your teens and their friends, you do want to be on the premises. While your teen may be extremely trustworthy, it’s still better to err on the side of caution. Just because your teen is, doesn’t mean other kids are. Children are prone to making mistakes and having lapses in judgment. Your being there can make a difference, as they’ll know they are being supervised, even if they can’t see you.
